Thank you CCUSD Watch for the outstanding reporting. As you have probably known, the Political Action Group, Learn Yes (Learnyes.org), just finished another biased poll (Push Poll) to drum up support for another tax override. LearnYes is getting its tactics from other pacts like Yes to Children in Scottsdale School District. If you look at both of their websites, they have identical wording.
More money with more promises of lower class size and teacher retention. Once the override is approved by voters, there will be excuses as to why class size is still large and teachers are downsized. Voters are not buying into these false promises anymore.
The appetite for money never ends with groups like Learn Yes. Here is a suggestion. Instead of spending endless time and resources pegging and pleading for more funding, Learn Yes should try to study charter schools and private schools and see what they are accomplishing with less and then emulate them. It is easier than trying to extract money from taxpayers who are losing their jobs, homes and investments due to the bad economy. If we as taxpayers have to cut back, Learn Yes and CCUSD have to learn austerity as well. NO ON 2011 OVERRIDE. "Sick of the Propaganda"
