Does CCUSD Watch Matter?

Does CCUSD Watch Matter?

Thanks to all of those who have commented. Your comments are not going unheard or unnoticed as evidenced by our site traffic for the past three months (click to enlarge).

We can also confirm that the higher ups are paying attention. Whether they care or not, as of now it seems like not.

Based on publicly available information, this report outlines estimated traffic levels received by the submitted URL, overviews possible income sources for the site, and proposes a resale value.

    Your site is worth $86"

Are you really as important as you think?

  2. Mr. Shaefer is that you? You seem to be so hung up on dollars and cents regarding every issue that you forget about the notion that a school district should provide a service. From the standpoint of providing public information not filtered through CCUSD administration or their henchmen like the CCSOS website does, then yes this site provides imeasurable benefit to the community and dollar amount isn't important. If you can't handle a little open debate than stop clicking your mouse to come here.

  3. Nope, not Shaefer. I choose to remain anonymous as do you.

  4. The information is only beneficial if you are getting all of the information. This site only gives one side of the information. The side that helps them with their negative campaign against the district. I can't remember ever seeing anything positive about the district on this site. I think we all know there are many positive things going on in this district & the schools in this district.

  5. I'll start with something postive! There ARE good things - great things - happening in the elementary schools indeed. Very pleased with the one my kids go to in fact. The teachers have been wonderful. I'm glad they are sticking around through all this negativity.

The high school --don't know yet. I have heard both negative and positives about CSHS --but so far, the negative comments outweigh the postive. I hope that changes before my kids need CSHS.

Middle school.. don't get me started. I'll stick my neck out and say this - but I don't believe they deserve the A+.

You bet. I'll donate $100 to the Foundation of Cave Creek Unified if Casey Perkins' child attends more than 1 day at Cactus Shadows.

  7. Are you kidding? How can someone sit on the school board and NOT have their kids attend CCUSD schools (assuming they have school age kids of course.. ).

  8. Maybe she is working to improve CCUSD schools to a point where she would like her child to attend them.

  9. My daughter went to CSHS and was accepted to every University she applied to, including out of state colleges. I have another still attending CSHS. I think the high school has some issues but I do believe you can get a great eduation there. I think negative comments will always out number positive because when people are happy they don't talk about it all the time. People who are unhappy want everyone to know it, you know the old saying "Misery loves company"!

Sure, open K-8 at Desert Sun and Cactus Shadows Prep so her child will not have to set foot in the out of control Sonoran Trails or the overcrowded high schol.

My offer still stands, $100 to the foundation if her child attends Cactus Shadows.

  11. Why do you say Sonoran Trails is out of control?
Both of my kids went there and it was not out of control. Are you referring to the future when the two schools combine?

  12. Everything is not negative. But it sure seems pretty easy to see the things the District and Board are doing that are not very competent.

The District Adminstration are supposed to be professionals, but it doesn't seem like that.

Why is the Prep Academy still on the District website? Wasn't the cut off April 30th and on April 27th there were only 51 applications (36 of which were from DAMS?) You see it is just so easy..

  13. So it is ok with you that she "practices" on our kids and her child is too good to be "practiced" on???? That seems kind of crazy.

  14. Casey Perkins has her kid in CCUSD. It's Janet Busbee who has her kid in Foothills rather than CCUSD

  15. As a parent, we should be looking at the needs of our individual child(ren) and make the best decision for them. It doesn't matter if they work in the District or are on the Board. Because when it comes down to it, they need to take care of their family. Now, if you are a Board member you should not be voting on your own personal agenda, it should be what is best for the "average" kid. That is where I think this Board and Administration has gone astray.
