Here are the 2012 AIMS scores for CCUSD and schools in PVUSD, DVUSD, and SUSD that have scores better than the lowest performing CCUSD school (Desert Sun in this case) . These are NOT the percentage passing (which is meaningless when trying to compare schools) but the 2012 AIMS mean scale score, ordered by the three test average. These scores are for 5th grade, which represents up to 6 years of education at these schools for many of the students.
Again, CCUSD falls short of neighboring schools with Desert Sun significantly falling behind its neighboring peers. Scores after the break…
One more point, year over year the AIMS test content and scale scores change significantly make year over year comparisons worthless. It does have value for comparing schools to one another in the same year. (Click to enlarge)
