First year men's basketball coach is leaving and the football coach is again rumored to be leaving. After the sad departure of Monica Barrett, it has been nothing but downhill and the blame falls squarely with the district's leadership.
Who would want to be a Future Falcon with this mess?
The turnover of athletic staff is trivial compared to the continuous loss/turnover of academic talent in the core-subject classrooms.
ReplyDeleteCoach D has had one foot out the door from the time her entered this district. I am sure many Black Mountain Parents can remember his brilliant stint as the PE teacher there...always sitting blabbing on his cell, our children learned to play four square and kickball quite well without him. When he decided to leave quietly we all applauded, little did we know the same scenario would await us in High School. many applauded last year when we thought he was yet again moving on (we've heard it for years though this time it seemed a reality, the newspaper wrote of his departure, he gave his speech about how he'd miss our kids and like a bad penny there he was back again. I can only hope the door has been closed, our kids deserve better, we deserve better for the money we spend and his heart truly is not here. Give the job to someone who deserves it.
