Mark Warren Resigning from Cave Creek Unified Governing Board

According to the Arizona School Board Association, Mark Warren is moving immediately to Virginia and will resign from the Cave Creek Unified Governing Board.

Good luck Mr. Warren to you and your family. While we believe that you understood the necessity of increasing achievement in our district, it is unfortunate you never stood behind that belief with your vote.

  1. Who are you to say Mark Warren never stood behind his beliefs when he voted? I would venture to say that when he voted it was always in the best interest of the students and increasing achievement according to what he believes. It my come as shock to you, but not everyone agrees with what CCUSD Watch believes is in the best interest of the district. Your arrogance has no bounds.

  2. I have had many conversations with Mark and seen him in action at Board meetings. He was not willing to make the tough decisions that turned out to be best for the kids. We do not need to save teachers when you are losing students, that is the bottom line. Hard decisions need to be made at the District Admin office as well as the Board. We need folks in there willing to make those decisions. As a Community why would we vote yes to a bond when we do not feel we can trust the District...

  3. Oct 16 1:17, can you name one vote where Warren chose the childern over the administrators?

  4. Oct 21 8:18 - I don't think it has anything to do with choosing one over the other. Do you honestly think this administration is intentionally trying to harm the children? Obviously not everyone agrees on what is best, but to say that Mark chose the administration over the children is unfair.

No, the administration is doing the bare minimum to keep their jobs, their salaries, and their pensions with a minimum of fuss. Many will soon be gone and our community will be holding the bag of stuffed full of their inaction.

It is the boards job to push them to do more and they and Warren did not, they are too busy being their friend to actually ask the hard questions.

  6. oct. 24th at 8:13am. I agree, it is like the parent who wants to be their childs best friend...that does not work. When it comes time for tough decisions you are the parent...our School Board needs to start acting like the parent to the Administration and not their BFF's.
