Which Elementary School Principal is Leaving Cave Creek Unified?

Our guess is the BMES or the DSA principal.

  1. Can't imagine she would leave on her own do you? It's not enough for parents and teachers to go to the District, she won't leave....good luck BMES!

  2. It would be such a blessing if it were the principal of Black Mountain but knowing our district they are probably opening another elementary school...maybe in the defunct DAMS campus that they are making numerous improvements to ( paint awnings all the stuff they had no money for and closed over)

  3. The reports coming out of BMES is that Elie Gaines let the staff know ths am she is not returning...could it really be true. The shell of what is left of BMES might be left standing if she actually leaves. What a shame it took all of the families leaving and teachers being miserable....I hope it is true. Hopefully what was best about BMES can be saved! What will the hand picked BMES PTO do without Elie there next year???

  4. Game over. She's gone. Now let's get some real leadership back in BMES -- admin and PTO.

  9. Dear April 7th, 2011 4:37pm, if they do, we should include Elie because she is the cause of the environment at BMES.

  10. Will National Core Knowledge Consultant Elie Gaines still provide the district with her services for free to enable DSA and BMES to become official Core Knowledge schools?

  11. it is my understanding that this was Ellie's gift to the district during the time she was employed by the district. It will be interesting to see how the district funds those consultant fees with her moving on. I do believe the cost of those fees which are required to become a core knowledge accredited school were in excess of 40,000.00 (as stated by Ellie herself in a meeting before the PTO) If the school opts out of the program the 20,000.00+ that the PTO paid towards the materials would be wasted. But what the heck it was free money

  12. Too bad there are so many petty, backbiting folks in the BMES community who do not understand the extraordinary value and dedication that Elie Gaines brought to Black Mountain. Her departure is a huge loss to the school and to the children. She made great improvements over the previous administration. Good luck to Ms. Gaines. She is missed.

  13. I find this comment a year later to be a little funny. Does anyone know where Ms. Gaines is now? Is she employed else where?

  14. I heard she is no longer with her last job at a charter school. Not sure where she is now.

  15. You all have some nerve criticizing Ellie Gaines as you have! What about Bill Dolezal? How many years must STMS continue to be the lowest performing school in the district before CCUSD finally sends him packing? Maybe because he's too much of a kissup to Burdick like the other principals.
